ROLE: PASTRY CHEF & BAKER
SALARY: £18,000 to £25,000 depending on experience plus tips
LOCATION: CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY, LANCASHIRE
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in a newly renovated and refurbished establishment. Breda Murphy’s is a successful restaurant and delicatessen continually attracts customers from all parts of the North West for its wide array and selection of excellent food, all of which is cooked on the premises. Working in modern and elegant surroundings you will be working with excellent fresh produce, to create dishes that acknowledge local influences. You will have the desire to work within an environment that produces traditional to a la carte to fine dining but also caters for unique events.

We are looking for a Pastry Chef/ Baker to support the Head Pastry Chef in production of all breads, cakes and pastries for the busy delicatessen and production of all desserts for the restaurant. A driven candidate, who is looking to continue to develop their kitchen skills to a high standard and has an attitude that promotes an outgoing, and positive manner. You should be ambitious and want to become a key player in a successful kitchen, further developing key kitchen skills from a very accomplished Head Chef. The restaurant and deli have been recognised through industry awards and can boast being represented in the MICHELIN GUIDE, GOOD FOOD GUIDE and HARDENS.
PASTRY CHEF – What are we looking for?
• As Pastry Chef, you will have a positive attitude and be self-motivated with a huge attention to detail.
• You should be passionate about local and artisan produce and constantly researching new food trends.
• You should be confident in delivering a consistently high standard of food in a very discerning environment.
• You should be methodical and organised, professionally competent, constructive and approachable.
• Ensure the evolution and reputation of the current product range is enhanced working with customer and colleague feedback.

What Experience Do You Need?
This is a demanding role, but working as part of this highly skilled team you and the restaurant kitchen team will cater for the restaurant, deli, and speciality evenings and events. Constantly meeting and exceeding guest expectations. You should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, Chef De Partie or Senior Commis Chef, you must be a strong all-rounder, with a solid, traditional skill set and the desire to improve daily.
